Personally, the past year has been incredibly busy for me, as has the site as a whole.
This year StopGame has become an integral part of my life and daily routine. It was the same in 2005. And it was then, in 2005, at StopGame, that I began my “gaming life” (it’s funny to read my terrible graphomania, but this is where there’s a lot of it stopgame.ru/review/new/p58). Then I had to part with the site because of my own stupidity.
But all this was so long ago that in May 2012, a certain Maxim Kulakov called me back in a new role (at that time I had already worked as a PR manager in the industry and editor-in-chief of GameGuru). And a good half of the advertising that you see on the site is my work. Yes, you can shower me with food left over on your New Year’s tables, but I’d rather just explain myself while my future wife sleeps peacefully in the next room.
I always wanted to clarify the situation a little about advertising on the site. I fully understand that at least half will not care about these explanations and will continue to spray poisonous saliva in all directions, but for the rest I will briefly tell.
It is also quite obvious that AdBlock https://froggybet-casino.uk and other banner cutters will pop up in the comments. It’s your right. We don’t force anyone to do anything, but I can assure you from a professional point of view that the new design makes advertising harmonious and neat. The site no longer looks like a graveyard of materials mixed with a million pictures (as it was before or as it is now on the site from which Kulakov’s gaming life began).
So here it is. Why is she needed?? As strange and funny as it may seem, StopGame – for everyone whose voices you heard in the 100th Igrozor – is the main activity. This is a full-time job that people need to pay for!
Let’s move away for a second from the fact that StopGame is a gaming site, first of all it is a structured organization. The same company you or your parents work for. The organization has a general director (for us it’s Rinat), who must take care of the company, develop it, improve it so that it makes a profit, and all employees are satisfied with working conditions. What kind of businessman wants to work at a loss – that’s right, no. In the organization there are those who do the main work, there are security guards, cleaners and others. AND THEY ALL NEED TO BE PAID!
Where will you get money for all the content that you read and watch every day, especially if your site is not sold to Rambler??! That’s right – from advertising money. Advertising is the main income of the site; there are simply no other sources of income.
We all understand that you love the site, you enjoy viewing/reading materials. But it is necessary to understand that materials do not appear out of thin air. For example, Vasya and Vanya DRAW, edit and voice-over their “Retrozor” themselves – and the entire creation process takes them at least 2 weeks, and this does not count the fact that they need to do video reviews, streams and episode histories.
For any program, footage is made, text is written, checked by editors, graphics are made. All this is mounted, sounded, brought to condition.
We don’t want to make shit, we want to raise the quality bar.
But please also pay attention to the fact that we never advertise crap like “penis enlarger 5000” and other scams. We don’t hang everything up just to “cheat you out of dollars”, we are selective. We have removed all fake whistles with sound, and the pop-up full screen shows only 2 times a day (the format is not very friendly, but is dictated by market demand).
In advertising, we try not to deviate from gaming or game-related themes. We only suggest that you pay attention to this or that product or game. We don’t force you to like everything we advertise. We just suggest you try it.
In general, with this topic I just wanted to share with you thoughts, advertising thoughts, which have been filling my head for 9 months now.
