The project attracted attention with beautiful art and a good description on the Steam page. The reality turned out to be not so rosy, but first things first.

The game is announced for platforms: Windows, Mac OS

Sandbox. Pseudo-random event generator. The goal of the party is to win. Campaign promised, but not yet.

The strategic part is done at the lowest possible level. We can create a custom script that will contain from four to eleven regions. From one to four players if playing online. You can put bots in place of players if this is a single-player game. When creating a session, we can configure the game parameters, choose one of four factions for which we will defeat.

The locations are tiny, the entire kingdom fits into the screen size and there is nothing special to control there. We are given a starting number of peasants and the game begins. The development process does not shine with diversity. Our task is to load the population with work/construction, trying to extract maximum profit from this, which in the future will lead us to victory. Random events happen from time to time, such as attacks by wolves or wild boars.

In addition to resource extraction and survival, we urgently need to engage in the army. In this game, soldiers are not created, but equipment that is provided to the population. The more equipment and the more fashionable it is, the greater the chances of winning.

The combat unit contains elements of a card game. At the time of battle, we can use general skill cards on units, which must be upgraded separately. There are many types of cards, they have a key influence on the course of the battle, so the battle itself can potentially be very interesting.

When we understand that our strength is ready, we send the army on a campaign, which ends in a tactical battle of varying degrees of complexity. Most of the time there are movements, you need to introduce units into battle in such a way as to inflict maximum and receive minimum damage. The first strike factor is very important. As a rule, whoever struck first and was able to incapacitate the maximum number of enemy warriors wins.

Upgraded cards are very important. https://bingo-storm-casino.co.uk/login/ There are a number of buffs and deceptions that we can apply. For example, exposing your squad to attack while adding a perk is a trap. The enemy hits, but is guaranteed to miss and then we hit. But the enemy may also have a trap, our mistake, and so on, there are quite a lot of types of such nuances. It is necessary not so much to overpower the opponent with mass (everyone has more or less equal development), but to outplay.

You can end the battle early if you kill the enemy general and capture the opponents’ camp. All this will undermine the morale of the enemies and they will run away almost without a fight.

EARLY ACCESS – WHAT THEY PROMISE

I think it would be appropriate to list what the developers promise to add to the game:

– Female characters. In the existing system I can’t imagine why, but it’s promised.

– New items, skills and cards.

– New random events and quests.

As you can see, Napoleonic plans, I won’t judge whether all this will come true, but the fact that there are ideas inspires hope.

Let’s look at the pros and cons of the game and summarize.

+ Good music and sound.

+ Interesting tactical combat system. Good implementation of the card system. Acting ahead is unlikely to win.

+ Still good resource management. You need more of everything, but you have to prioritize.

+ There is a game online

– Russian localization is not up to par yet. Displayed with errors, incorrect.

– There is little content in the game as such. It’s still difficult to make a unique kingdom.

– Everything is as simple as in a pharmacy, there is practically no challenge, except for the moment of battle. The battles themselves need to wait long enough for our kingdom to develop.

Personally, I rather disliked the game in its current form than liked it. Still, I wanted some kind of larger-scale and multi-stage war. But on the other hand, the project is quite promising, in some places pleasing to the eye and ear, development is actively underway. Thus, I can recommend the game to be added to your wishlist. If they implement everything that is promised, it can turn out very well.

PS: I probably didn’t cover all the aspects, I might have missed something. I will be glad to add/correct the review or answer questions along the way in the comments.
